Allow Me to Introduce Myself…
My name is Ari…
Design, to me, is much more than just simply aesthetics. Design evokes emotion, identity, and experience in the world around us. I’m drawn to unique design that has the capability to leave a memory that can tell a story worth over a thousand words. As a designer, I’m motivated by creative freedom, pleasing visuals, and chaotic balance that comes from the work I create.
Inspiration stems from my childhood. What caught my imagination years ago was marine biology, cosmology, astronomy, meteorology, and paleontology. My creative drive is heavily rooted in all of these fields. I may not show it as much as I used to, but as soon as I’m given the opportunity? I take it.
I want my work to be memorable, emotionally driven, but most importantly, authentic to myself and the audience it reaches.
Who am I as an Artist?
-
I’m a visual storyteller who uses liminal spaces, dense environmental mood, and subtle unease to amplify my work/designs.
-
I enjoy framing moments as if they belong to a larger story that has already begun. I want my viewer to be dropped into the middle of an unfolding narrative and left to piece together what happened before… and what’s coming next.
-
I love to create unease through suggestion rather than revelation. My work usually does not directly indicate a threat. Usually, I rely on absence, ambiguity, and implication. I want you to feel something wrong before you even understand why.
-
I explore spaces that are caught in between what was and what comes next. My work focuses on transition, thresholds, and uncertainty. Empty structures, distant lone lights, and abandoned places. They become symbols of emotional and psychological in-betweenness.
-
I identify, visualize, and present questions that have no comfortable answers. I tend to fall into exploring time, memory, connection, and the fragility of perception. My imagery often feels caught between reality, distortion, and reflection.
